Sunnyvale Southern Little League Pin

This baseball pin design for Sunnyvale California was purchased after a few revisions. We had to come up with a way to show “action” on the pin, and also we needed to show yellow and blue colors. I decided to get creative and use black metal plating with flames yellow and orange. I could use the blue color in the logo but wrap it in a white outline to give emphasis to the logo against the complicated baseball pin design. Originally I presented the team with a baseball background because they said they didn’t want a ball field with crossed bats. Original designs trade much better than baseball pin designs which have been seen before. We created a baseball that was on fire and it looked really cool, but it was missing some “action”. We decided to add action with a baseball that was on fire and getting hit across the pin. This created a problem because then we had two baseballs on the baseball pin design! In the end we decided on a ball field background that was on fire after all because we have never seen a pin design like that before and it gave more “pop” to the flying baseball.
